Introduce yourself: What is your name and what do you do?

I’m Dr. Elizabeth T. Peters, fondly known as ETP and I’m a Medical Doctor, Lifestyle blogger and Chairperson, Chop Life Gang (Worldwide).

When did you start saving on Piggyvest?

I think it was late last year to be honest, I was tired of being disappointed by my previous saving establishment.

How have you been able to use Piggyvest outside Nigeria? Share your experience with us.

It’s been seamless; I think it was just the onboarding that was difficult because I needed a code, but a quick DM on twitter had that all ironed it promptly ☺.

What do you spend most of your income on?

My goals o, e don tire me sef haha. But yeah I have cost-intensive career moves, so that’s what drinks my money — it must and will pay soon!!

What would you like to stop spending money on?

On everything. If I had my way I would never spend, I’d just keep money in my PiggyVest account to be looking at it (whilst all my needs were being met of course).

If money wasn’t a concern, what would your career be in?

The career I’m already in love with — Global Health — with a hefty sprinkle of lifestyle TRAVEL blogging. Beat health inequalities then relax on beaches around the globe. The dream.

What do you love most about being a medical Doctor?

I think it’s the satisfaction I get from helping people. Being a doctor isn’t always rosy, but for those few precious moments; the stress feels worth it.

What Piggyvest feature is your favorite?

Safelock! I haven’t had a problem with financial self-control so being rewarded with really good rates of return when I lock long-term funds is a win-win for me.

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve spent money on?

Intermittent Fasting app subscription. Something I can do on my own with regular alarms? Sigh.

If you won a lottery, what’s the first thing you will do?

Roll on the ground crying and thanking Jesus (Yeah, I can be dramatic) — then tithe before it becomes difficult haha.

How would you spend a typical Friday night (Pre-COVID). Netflix, party/turn up, hang out with your girls, or work?

Fridays I have service actually haha so I’ll answer Saturday instead — that would most likely be one turn up or the other; games night/movies/cookout with the girls…list is endless really.

If you retired today, what would you do with your free time?

Travel travel travel. The air hostesses and I would be on first-name basis haha.

How broke have you been? What was the extreme/crazy thing you did?

I was so broke one time in school that I was forced to eat only one N150 meal a day. I gave up protein by force haha. Let’s just thank God for life and caring friends.

Dinner with Beyonce or #1m

I’m a super Beyonce fan and I believe I will still meet her one day but slide me that #1m dear (especially if it’s in £££)

Do you have any feedback for Piggyvest?

A tutorial in the app on how to use it perhaps? Maybe next time it’s updated, have pointers detailing both new and old functions, so everyone is up to scratch and benefitting maximally. Just a thought!
