Whether you’re a young adult ready to start saving for retirement, a 50-something ready to pay off your debts or a young married couple just starting your own family, sustainable savings and accessible investments are two essential things.

PiggyVest aims to help you do both of those things while guiding you through the process! Everyone finds their own unique use for the app, and that, we think is the beauty of PiggyVest.

Every month, we shine a spotlight on one saver (or group of savers), asking them questions about their savings and investment culture and how the product is specifically helping them shape how they spend and save for future responsibilities.

This month, we have a young professional who is an OG Piggyvest user and a big Piggyvest Evangelist

So, here we go, Omonigho.

Introduce yourself: What is your name and what do you do?

My name is Omonigho and I’m a Legal Advisor/Head HR at an oil servicing company.

What was your first ever experience with money?

Must have been when an uncle/aunty dashed me money as a child and my dad took the money and told me I had been feeding in his house afterall.

When did you start saving on PiggyVest?

I started on 10th January 2017.

Apart from saving, do you also invest and in what?

I invest in my side hustle — I run a Logistics business as well.

What do you spend most of your income on?

Food ooo. Then maybe travel.

What would you like to stop spending money on?

Food ooo!

If money wasn’t a concern, what would your career be in?

I’d be a counsellor. The dream would be counselling university students about life after university.

“I love to travel. I don’t think I have a dream destination. Any place that smells like abroad is fine.”

Do you enjoy travelling and where is your dream vacation destination?

I love to travel. I don’t think I have a dream destination. Any place that smells like abroad is fine.

What Piggyvest feature is your favorite and why?

Monthly interests that go straight into my Piggyflex. For obvious reasons. 😜

Is there anything specific you’ve used Piggyvest to achieve?

Can’t think of anything specific.

How many sources of income do you have?

I have three sources of income.

How do you budget your income?

I don’t have any official budget formula. I just save, invest and spend a certain way monthly. (I hope this makes sense).

Has PiggyVest helped you save or invest?

I honestly preach the gospel of Piggyvest at every opportunity I get because it’s been such a seamless and fantastic way to save. Yes it has helped me a lot.

What do you think of the new Piggyvest app?

The new app is so pretty. Just like me. (Agree or agree)
